In its forty years activity in mechanical precision machining parts on Customer’s drawing, OMC’s main purpose has always been “CUSTOMER SATISFACTION”.

Dynamism and Versatility are the two concepts that allow OMC to satisfy  its Customers’ needs as regards: QUALITY, PRICES and DELIVERY.

At OMC investments in machinery and in training courses, made inside,  for the workers in order to make better and qualify  more and more their competence, permit to OMC to fulfil every Client’s demand with professionalism, flexibility and capability.

    1972

    OMC, Officina Meccanica Costruzioni, is a Monza-based company that was founded back in 1972 as an individual company by Ellero Redolfi, who started out in his home cellar, where he had a lathe and a milling machine.

  • 1976

    History

    1976

    A few years later, the company had grown so much, that it was time to find a better place for machining.

    That is when the company moved to a 350 sq. m facility, and the first employee was hired. Ellero’s brother and wife soon joined in to take care of production and administration, respectively. OMC was now ready to kick off its adventure as a PRECISION MECHANICS SUBCONTRACTOR.

    1979

    Investments in CNC machines and the gradual increase in the number of employees led the company to move to its historic headquarters in Via Piave 10 in Monza. The new facility covered over 1000 sq. m.

  • 1981

    1981

    The whole decade was marked by OMC’s entry in the American medical market with its radiology beds and machines. All this allowed OMC’s staff to gain great experience in this ever-evolving industry. OMC relied on its team of in-house designers to extract the details of a machine from the client’s project and manufactured all the mechanical components, which the client could assemble in America.

  • 1990

    History

    1990

    OMC joined C.E.M.B, the Monza and Brianza Export Consortium, to promote its image and products across the world.

    This relationship grew stronger over the years, also thanks to OMC’s presence at various international trade fairs, including SUBCON NUREMBERG, SUBCON DÜSSELDORF, SUBCON BILBAO, MIDEST PARIS, SWISSTECH BASEL, BIMU-SFORTEC MILAN.

    The collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and the participation in several Subcontracting Projects in international markets allowed OMC to acquire new clients, including a major Swiss group.

    2000

    After years of hard work, the company obtained its first ISO 9002: 1994 Quality Certification in July. Another milestone achieved thanks to the collaboration of all the personnel.

  • Premio Comunicazione

    History

    2001

    February 2001: OMC took part in the contest among companies with a quality management system organised by ICIM, an Italian independent certification body. OCM won the prestigious ICIM Advertising Top award for “best traditional communication”, thanks to its ability to communicate and promote Quality and its Quality Management System.

    With the advent of the internet, in November 2001 OMC won the ICIM Advertising TOP award for “best innovative communication” for its internet advertisements.

    2002

    2002 was the year of OMC’s move to the current headquarters in Brugherio, which covers a surface of approximately 1600 sq. m.

    This investment was the result of the company’s growth and continuous improvement strategy.

    In July 2003, only three years after the first quality certification, OMC’s commitment and focus on quality allowed it to achieve the ISO 9001: 2000 certification, aka VISION 2000. Another milestone that proves a service always up to date with the latest developments while meeting the highest Italian and international quality standards.

    In November 2009, OMC obtained the more recent ISO 9001: 2008 certification with the aim to pursue not only customer satisfaction, but also to involve its personnel as established by the standard.

  • I 40 anni di OMC

    History

    2012

    The year ended with the celebrations for the 40 years of activity of the owner of the company, Ellero Redolfi. Employees, collaborators, clients, and suppliers took part in the celebrations, showing him all their respect and appreciation. This was an important milestone in the company’s history.

Ellero Redolfi General Manager

At 17, after obtaining his mechanical design diploma, he started working as a lathe turner in a small workshop in Monza. After gaining experience in the sector, in 1972, he decided to start his own company: OMC.

Elena Redolfi ORGANISATION, SAFETY, AND QUALITY MANAGER

She started working for the company during her studies at Bicocca University in Milan. After graduating in Law, she worked as an intern for a law firm in Monza. She became a member of the Monza Register of Lawyers and, in 2012 she returned to OMC and represents its future.

Mariarosa Beneggi Redolfi QUALITY, ADMINISTRATION, AND MARKETING MANAGER

She obtained her diploma in foreign languages and specialised at the Cambridge School in Milan. After completing her studies, she started working in the Purchase/Import department of a major company in the rubber and plastics industry in Lombardy, where she stayed for 15 years. In 1979, she left that job to join her husband’s company.

Valerio Dell'Orto PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

He joined OMC after obtaining his diploma as an industrial machinery mechanic and soon became an important reference. His passion, commitment, and dedication earned him a promotion to Production Manager. He hones his CAD CAM skills through continuous education.

Elisabetta Beretta CUSTOMER SALES SERVICE

After her studies in Accounting and obtaining her diploma as an RPG2 programmer, she joined the OMC team to take care of supplier/customer accounting. She has been in the company for 28 years now and collaborates closely with the General Manager, Mr Redolfi, in customer management.

Emilia Valcamonica PURCHASE AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

She holds a diploma in business administration. She was hired initially to manage various areas, such as customers, suppliers, and quality. During that time, she gained specific experience. Today, she is the head of the purchasing department and collaborates with Mariarosa Redolfi in marketing and event organisation.

Giancarlo Redolfi PRODUCTION MANAGER

After obtaining his mechanical design diploma, he started working as a miller and welder. During the mid-70s, he left his job to join his brother in his new entrepreneurial adventure. He is an expert installer and the technical reference of the production department. He is also the person who certifies the quality of the details that are manufactured.

QUALITY AND SAFETY

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

OMC achieved its first ISO 9002:1994 Quality Certification in 2000. Over the years, the company has consolidated its Quality Management System with the ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 9001: 2008 standards. The systematic and accurate review of internal procedures has allowed the OMC Quality Management System to improve over the years and reach the quality standards required by our Clients. Recently, OMC has achieve the upgrading to the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification.

SAFETY SYSTEM

OMC has adapted and updated all its procedures in compliance with the Consolidating Act of Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008. It has done by drawing up and reviewing the Risk Assessment Document, and informing and training all employees about the risks and issues in the workplace.

In compliance with this standard and in collaboration with all the personnel, representatives and/or managers have been appointed to monitor continuously the various areas.
